Never has glitch been this elegant and intimate. I often find with lots of glitch music that the actual “glitch” elements themselves feel very separated from the music itself, serving as not much more than extra window dressing rather than actually influencing musical composition. I wonder what these guys think of the current underground hip hop scene. Insane how ahead of the curve this is
I love how there’s the iconic passionate vocalizing and choir singing just so you can be absolutely certain that this is a Hirasawa album. This is cool though, it’s a much more spacious sound compared to what else I’ve heard from him
Spoken word stuff actually works remarkably well with Vegyn’s style of music, I’ll have to check out the album because this is really interesting
Honestly pretty ahead of its time, like yeah everyone knew about the Internet back then but this seems like one of the first songs to actually talk about using it, let alone for something as personal as trying to find love over chatrooms
Yeah it’s stupid but it’s not like it’s hurting anybody besides a few music nerds with inflated egos
I don’t understand how some people say that Steinbolt is his hardest track when Greenways Trajectory exists
Listened to the whole thing with a huge smile on my face. If this album had a color it’d be the most vibrant shade of orange. Music that you feel like you could take a huge juicy bite out of. That arpeggio on the chorus of Psychic Love Damage makes me ascend
Really love the dark, ominous vibe that permeates this whole album. Of course it’s super ahead of its time too. Gemini Enjoy My Life goes stupid hard
A bit more scattershot than its companion LP but still pretty nice. Definitely feels like a stepping stone between the “jam session” approach of Quaristice and the more ethereal soundscapes of Oversteps
This guy really is just so good at just having complete mental breakdowns huh
Love the vibes here, the sparse yet catchy beats alongside all the grimy synths create this deliciously dark atmosphere
