Listening to this while cleaning my room was like the opposite of therapeutic.
Ok, I've done a lot of thinking. I listened to this album for the first time last night with a small group of friends (I'm currently quarantined cause I have COVID so we made a little COVID positive listening party in my dorm), and I have a lot of thoughts. Could I write up a massive review for this like I did with Call Me If You Get Lost and Sick!? Yes. I could. But let's be honest, everyone has an opinion on this album, and I don't want to sit here for an hour typing up a review that I can ... read more
I don't know why this has such a high average rating, Vince really phoned it in with this one.
Well, I guess it's finally time to do this.
On July 21st, 2021, I heard my first ever Phil Elverum album. It was "The Glow, Pt.2" and anyone who knows me, my YouTube channel, or my podcast knows that that album changed my life. Ever since that day in my room all alone, I've fallen in love with Phil and his music. I've spent hours researching his career, dissecting his lyrics, consuming his content, and even attending one of his live shows, I've spent more money on his music and ... read more
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my first ever paid review! That's right, a patron of mine has offered to up his monthly payment if I specifically reviewed this midwest emo classic, so here I go.
First and foremost, this was a very soothing listen. I loved the slower parts of the album that focus heavily on the lyrics. Especially on the 6th track, "I Think You Were In My Profile Picture Once." The guitar matches really well with both of the vocalists on the track (the female vocals ... read more
I think about this album in the same way I think about the film Schindler's List. It's absolutely amazing, completely unfiltered, and everyone should experience it at least once. But the odds are, I will never come back to this ever again.
They did it again. No, let me rephrase that. They did it again, but slightly better.
Thanks for two 10/10's in a row Isaac. I hope that wherever life takes you, you know you've made music that'll last.
Not sad enough to fully enjoy this. Will return when I realize I'm sad enough to enjoy this.
While I'm not the biggest fan of artists putting out this many singles before an album drop, I am a fan of the fact that I can feel BCNR's second 10/10 coming.
Ladies and gentlemen, history has repeated itself.
Last year, I sat at the same desk I am right now typing up a review of Tyler, The Creator's album "Call Me If You Get Lost". Despite my overall feelings for the record, I felt disappointed. Tyler had set the bar so high with his last two projects that even a 7/10 made me feel cheated out of what could have been. Well, the Odd Future boys seem to be on a roll, because Earl has dropped the ball even farther than Tyler did.

Literally couldn't be more impartial on this album because literally nothing happened. Not a single note was played. I am the same man I was before I spent the 5 seconds it took to finish this album.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to alert you of the fact that it is, with absolute certainty, Kaizo Worldwide bitch.
This isn't bad per-say I just feel like its very derivative of albums and artists that do this style of hip-hop better.
A breathtaking journey through a musical forest that I literally cannot get enough of.
Also everyone voting against chamber music and field recordings as genres are complete idiots.
This album drags the listener through the world portrayed on the cover, and I respect the fuck outta that.
Oh and it sounds pretty good too.
