Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra - Night Blooms

This album was a super smooth and fun experience to listen through. All performances were excellently done and makes the perfect "cozy coffee shop" vibe that I love. I don't have any stand out tracks per se, but I do prefer the first half over the second half. Overall I enjoyed it start to finish.

Gorillaz - The Mountain

The Mountain is a fascinating journey through different genres and styles which Gorillaz manages to execute amazingly. The album blends electronic, hip-hop, and Indian classical music in a way that somehow feels both all over the place and cohesive at the same time. I usually don't listen to this type of music specifically, but I was positively surprised and am now interested in hearing more.

REVIEW BASED ON THE 2022 VERSION WITH 18 TRACKS:

My first introduction to Fred again.. It's a great collection of tracks with many different features which gives each song a truly unique experience. From addictive house production to more bass and dub step heavy production, it really shows his talent into making many different styles of music. The fact that this is a living and breathing project is really fascinating and makes me now wish more artists would do this.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

From the storytelling, to the performances, to the sublime jazz rap production. This album alone makes Kendrick Lamar one of the absolute greats in hip-hop. The idea of a teasing a poem throughout the album to then end with the entire poem on the last track makes this feel more than just an album. Whilst I do have many tracks in my rotation, I do feel like listening through the entire album start-to-finish is almost necessary to truly get the full experience.

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city

An album that truly shows Kendrick Lamar's ability to create not only banger after banger, but lyrical masterpieces at the same time. SAMIDOT alone is proof of that. It's one of the most dense and raw tracks made and yet it sits right next to bangers like Swimming Pools and m.A.A.d city. This album is truly a staple within the genre.

Personal Favs:
- Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe
- The Art of Peer Pressure
- Money Trees
- m.A.A.d city
- Swimming Pools
- SAMIDOT
