The first half of the album is great, with thhe mix of booming guitars and softer vocals being utilised masterfully. These songs are interesting and keep you hooked, with even the intermission song "Intermission: Rượu Vang" taking on a more folk approach signifying a chhange in pace within the album. Bullet for my Valentine's first album, a classic melodic metalcore album that I have revisited multiple times. While it can be a bit corny sometimes, everything about it from instrumentation to vocal timbre is done beautifully, all the songs mesh together while still being able to stand on their own. One of my favorite metalcore albums.
ZUTOMAYO brings their signature funk-rock energyc to this album, with the singles being spectacular as always. Of course, the deep cuts are really good as well, ranging from emotional ballads to some more jazzy songs. Despite this, a lot of the deep cuts can be quite forgettable, especially if you don't plan on relistening and some songs feel like they just go by without much happening. All in all, it is a solid japanese funk rock album.
