Things might change and it's unlikely to be remembered as a classic in the same way, but on first listen this could be their best album since Dog Man Star.
Their output since they reformed is certainly their most consistent run of albums and this takes the punchier, post-punk leanings of Autoficfion and doubles down. A great move that results in a late-career entry of improbable quality.
