Sachiko Kanenobu - Misora
93

I don't know what shorty's saying, but it's healing my soul.

ケンモチヒデフミ [Kenmochi Hidefumi] - Falliccia
85

A beautiful, wistful record, brimming with Nujabes influence but with nature even more in the foreground.

Lianne La Havas - Lianne La Havas
87

Absolutely excellent album top to bottom. Ty flatmate for putting me on.

MIKE, Wiki & The Alchemist - Faith Is a Rock
75

Solid lil project with two great emcees and some middle of the pack Alch beats.

Danny Brown - Stardust
78

Really great, experimental album from Danny with some hard-hitting emotional tracks too. He's really one of them ones.

Armand Hammer - Mercy
79

Could've been so much better. Both E L U C I D and Billy give some great performances, and there's definitely some incredible standout tracks, like California Games, Peshawar, and Dogeared, but Al's production, while consistently solid, is getting tired and repetitive. He needs to switch SOMETHING up. He's still one of the GOATs though. Haram clears ofc.

Still highly recommend the album of course, it's still Al and Armand Hammer after all.

Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES 3
75

Another really solid Gunn project. GUS SMACKER is insanely good. This Brother Tom fella knows what he's doing.

Saba - C0FFEE!
68

Decent, some interesting new directions for Saba, but they're not fully fleshed out and don't always hit right. itachi and high tides are great tracks though.

Dave - The Boy Who Played the Harp
84

He absolutely raps his ass off on this. Some generational verses and long-takes on here. Chapter 16, My 27th Birthday, Fairchild, and the title track are all seriously special.

The Roots - Game Theory
90

My 3rd favourite album by the Roots, close to 2nd. Black Thought is truly a top 2 emcee of all time. That coupled with the incredible production makes this a must-listen to me. RIP J Dilla also. 2006 was seriously one of the best and worst years for hip hop ever.

Common - Be
89

An incredible album that doesn't get talked about enough, especially in the mainstream.

Mobb Deep - Infinite
76

I'm always wary of a posthumous release, but here they've done justice to Prodigy and his legacy with a solid all around project. RIP

D'Angelo - Black Messiah
95

14 years later and another classic. RIP to my favourite artist ever.

El Cousteau - Dirty Harry
78

a slick-ass tape

El Cousteau - Dirty Harry 2
70

It's cool, got SOME of my favourite songs of his on here, like Marina Del Rey and Bergamot, but it's lacking something fr

ZelooperZ - Dali Aint Dead
77

My favourite from Zelooperz so far. He's polished his sound and, while it's not perfect, there are mostly gems on here.

MIKE - Pinball II
72

More short hits of Tony and MIKE's collaborative power, but not as potent as the first Pinball imo.

Open Mike Eagle - Neighborhood Gods Unlimited
83

Unc still got it. My 2nd favourite project of his, behind Brick Body Kids Still Daydream, and much like that record, this one is personal, beautiful, and witty all at once.

Imogen Heap - Speak for Yourself
90

Imogen Heap kno how to sing

Camel - Mirage
78

Really cool and wacky. Not my favourite of the genre though.
