out of the 5 girls previously revealed for the LOONA project, 4 of them (heejin, hyunjin, haseul & vivi) came together to form the group's first sub-unit and release their first album. vivi, the fifth and final member revealed for the 1/3 sub-unit, has just an okay single. everyday i love you featuring previously revealed haseul is a very good song, but in the rankings of loona solos is falls closer to the bottom and is more forgettable than other singles. the b-side, everyday i need you, featuring the unannounced 7th member jinsoul, is just ok. it's a more chill remix of the original, and i think it's about the same as the acoustic "vivid" remix we saw on ... read more

haseul, the third member announced as apart of the group, has an incredible opera trained voice which is shown on the single "let me in." the song is for sure one of the best solo songs out of the entire pre-debut phase. let me in is another instance of loona's really great ballads, and i would put it over previous single by hyunjin "around you." if the b-side was anything else, this single could've been the best up to this point. however, that would've ... read more

hyunjin's single was the second single to come out of the pre-debut project from loona. around you is a beautiful ballad, and while i typically don't care for ballads in k-pop, the song is the first instance of loona showing you that they literally can do anything. the song really shows off her great vocals, and the instrumental is elegant. the b-side, 'i'll be there' is one of the best songs to come out of the whole group. really fun song that feels like a more upbeat ... read more

to start off the iconic pre-debut project from loona, vivid does a pretty good job. the song is super catchy, with the "OH MY GOD YES" being an instant earworm. a great start to show off loona's uniqueness as a group along with the vibes for the 1/3 sub-unit. however, the acoustic version of the song leaves much to be desired. would have deff preferred another song for a b-side like the rest of the pre-debut singles.
