kvmai has done it again this entire ep is nuts
resentment and chaos cannon are ridiculously heavy lmao its so good
probs one of the best drt releases in recent memory. ophion's flow is super sick and sound design is quite cohesive. also insanely hyped to see yeeto on disciple, forty dub was super fun to listen to even tho personally i feel like it could have had more chaos in the basses and glitches with yeeto's iconic style
but yeah solid release, hope to see more from ophion and hopefully we have more chances to see yeeto on larger labels too, bro is so underrated

first heard of kvmai and rocket from their track relentless delusion and have really liked their styles since
this album has absolutely goated production, especially considering how quite a substantial amount of tearout tracks try to make the sound design as heavy and chaotic as possible, often ruining the listening experience. imo this album strikes a great balance between the two, achieving heavy and unique sound design without sacrificing audio quality
my only nitpick about this album is ... read more
fairly standard sq4 release, liked the sqishi collab but the other tracks seem a bit bland and repetitive unfortunately
mxrly and sakuro so goated
sq4 riddim is such a hit or miss sometimes but i was pleasantly surprised with the comp, really great flow and arrangement
can't wait for more sys32 comps, def a collective i will look out for
thanks for recommending this to me @Granolant idk why you're sending it to everyone lol but ty
the atmosphere and vocals in the first song sound really cool, only critique is the mixing side of things where the synth chords overpower the track too much, making the drums unable to cut through
love the production on the second song, but i wish the ep was a bit longer since the entire ep is just 8 minutes long, more songs would have been nice
pulls off the uk dubstep super well, sound design is gritty and has a lot of variation and ear candy
attention to detail on this record is insane, from the drum programming to the drop flow to the insanely clean mixdowns. feels like every decision, no matter how small, was made with a purpose in mind to add to the piece.
overall, the album was a super cohesive listening experience, can't wait for more skxllflower releases in 2025
sound design is wildly creative and brutal af, drops are heavy and the flow is solid. reminds me of joeb quite a bit lol, couldnt stop headbanging to this :D
improvements:
the ep has a total of 7 songs, but most songs had a really short run time for about 2 minutes each. wish that it had a longer runtime that allowed each song to fully explore and develop the ideas within
the intros/offdrops seemed quite empty for a lot of the tracks, with not much going on except for some ambient drones most ... read more
sound design is abrasive, mixing is questionable and its the same generic sullivan king metal + dubstep combo. chaos will bring peace, the beginning, and lean onto me have semi-decent drops going for them, but sullivan always somehow finds a way to ruin it by adding muddy techno kicks, dnb basses that sound like a faulty bird repeller and annoying sustains that shamelessly rip off doctor p - sweet shop.

one of the best dubstep projects ive heard this year so far. been a fan of splitter's works since 2022, and the ep is everything i love about splitter wrapped in one neat package. absolutely love the hyper-maximalist production, with bold and creative sound design while somehow keeping the mix feel clean and not messy. jazz and funk influences are apparent within the ep(especially having the lick literally in the first song lmao), and i particularly enjoyed the tight basses and percussion ... read more
really love knock2's signature production style and this album had a huge collection of bangers. production is amazing and there is a lot of experimentation with sound selection throughout the album. i had really high expectations for the album when feel U luv Me was released, but this album was slightly underwhelming for me.
in terms of shortcomings, the album felt more like a collection of tracks that you can pick the ones you like to add to your playlist. this isn't inherently ... read more
