I honestly went into this not expecting a lot, but SHEEESH, Magdalena Bay goes for a retro synth-y tech style here, and they absolutely NAIL it. The vibes and sound design on this song are so shockingly unique and special, with such a crazy amount of variety despite sticking to the synthpop style all throughout (though occasionally dipping into rock or more psychedelic styles, which is VERY welcome). I really can't praise the instrumentals and production enough, it carries this thing from great to amazing so easily on it's own. That's not to say the vocals on this album aren't also so ethereal, they're so well mixed into the songs and really add to the dreamy synth-y techno vibe this whole album has really well.

This album isn't 100% perfect, it does occasionally dip into some weirder or less interesting styles from time to time, but those times are really few and far between, and most importantly, they don't detract at ALL from the atmosphere and vibe of the album. If there's one thing this album does best, it's ATMOSPHERE.
