What is there to even say about this album... it's raw, it's emotional, it's silly at times, but as my first experience with Quadeca, I am FLOORED. The rapping parts are amazing, the instrumentals are beautiful, the highs on here are so unbelievably high, and everything about this album is just fun, catchy, horrifying, funny, and beautiful in every possible way. It falters a bit in the middle, but even then, there's only 1 song that I really didn't like. Every other ... read more
Wish I could say I liked this album more, but honestly... It's just... fine. Cafune quickly become a hit for me with their song Perspective, and while I really love their dedication to making infectiously addicting melodies, this album just feels really safe most of the time, and kind of samey. A lot of it is pretty simple indie rock, and when it does spread out, it actually does a pretty good job! But half the time, it just doesn't.
Also, the album has this really weird... mixing ... read more
The QUEEN does it AGAIN!!! Laufey feels so confident and engaging on this album, with it being a lot more varied and doing so much more in every place, which im a super big fan of! Admittedly, I think this album isn't quite as cohesive or emotionally connecting to me as Bewitched, which to me is a near perfect album, however the peaks on this album EASILY beat the peaks on Bewitched. The highs on this album are absolutely absurd, and Laufey does things I never would've expected here, ... read more
This is a way way better album than I originally gave it credit for! It's not perfect and definitely in some ways rough around the edges, but the euphoria this album gives, the amazing vocals, the amazing melodies, all make this album really shine in a way I hadn't really considered before in the past. While it is rough, I still have an absolutely wonderful time listening to this, and acloudyskye continues to shine even here!

Honestly, this album is pretty solid, but I wouldn't call it incredibly spectacular. The story in this one, especially compared to Drive Home, is a lot more nonsensical, and the skits feel a lot less well integrated. The production is rougher, the vocals aren't as strong, and its just kind of a downgrade compared to Drive Home. HOWEVER, the VIBES on this are IMMACULATE. The dreamy style is there in full force, and everything I like about Portraits of Tracy is still here, even if in a ... read more
This album is really quite wonderful! The album starts INSANELY strong, with some of the best production, vocals, and melody work I've ever heard from Lorde (keep in mind, this comes from the perspective of having heard melodrama and pure heroine!) and I'm absolutely entranced by the beauty of the album. The electronic style the album fits into is great, the lyrics hit really hard, and I leave feeling like this is some of Lorde's best work in the best parts. Unfortunately, I do ... read more
Wow, this album is just stunning. I mean, it really has 3 standouts, but even the tracks around it are really nice songs in between, and have their own special feelings to them. I listened to bits and pieces of this album a long time ago but I haven't really taken the time to sit down and listen heavily to the songs until now, and WOW. They HIT. Fantastic stuff from acloudyskye :)

Ichiko, how I love you so. Another gorgeous album that really heavily reminds of 0, and while it's not quite at that level, I still adore this. I don't really have any favorites or non favorites, as just like 0, this whole album just makes me smile :)
This is my first King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard album, and... idk, I'm not very impressed. The whole reason I went to listen to this album was cause of how insanely good Phantom Island was and how insanely special and unique it was, and the rest of this album just... doesn't really channel that until near the very end. It has a fun style and spin to it, and the vocal and instrumentation work is undeniably good! But I just can't really get into it. It just doesn't click ... read more
This album is nice, but that's honestly about all I have to say about it. It's nice, it's clear a lot of time and effort was put into it, but I don't think it appeals to me very strongly. I wish there was more songs like Chemistry on it. I wouldn't really ever come back to this, but I can appreciate what went into it one way or another.
Favorite Songs: Chemistry, Sugar Water, At The Beach In Every Life
Least Favorite Songs: Twister, Sleeping, Fable
What an absolute BEAUTY this album is. This whole album, while maybe a bit samey in style, fits right into my alley of music, with such wonderful song progressions, fantastic instrumentals, and some absolutely gorgeous vocals to boot. The album cover really fits this so well, with the whole album having a feeling of just exploring and surrounding myself in a drawn, curious, beautiful world. OWEL shows in droves how skilled they are at creating a beautiful soundscape and incredible progression, ... read more
This album is... fine? I mean, it sure is Koven DnB. They house some of their more solid work here, but I really think they just... don't stick out here. A lot of songs here feel a bit underbaked, and while they are catchy and fun (I saved a good chunk of them!), compared to Butterfly Effect this album is WAY less varied in style and WAY more plain. It feels like a step down, where Butterfly Effect felt like a big step up.
That being said, Katie's vocals are still plenty great here, ... read more
Well, this sure is a surprise coming from their previous album!
Forever Howlong is a much more diverse and whimsical album than Ants From Up There, swapping the more raw and emotional and somber Isaac for a new set of female vocals that really do absolute wonders, despite having to follow up such unique and different vocals that this band is really known for. I think the new vocalists nailed it, with some amazing vocals, still plenty of the absolutely gorgeous instrumentals which are evolved ... read more
Incredibly deep and intricate stuff on display here, False Noise absolutely blows me away here with how intricate he can make the sounds in his music. You truly haven't heard stuff quite like this, yet it matches the vibe of the cover art just extremely well, and makes for a supremely interesting and fun listen. Not every track hits perfectly, but all of them provide an extremely cool sense of style that I haven't heard from many other albums.

I respect this album a TON, for being the pioneer of a genre that I've really come to love, and one that has always really resonated with me and that some of my favorite smaller EDM artists have derived from (CloudNone and Direct, to name 2 that come to mind), however I don't think the older style of garage and chill dubstep this album has doesn't work for me as much compared to how the genre has evolved. For me, while the atmosphere and production on display is really quite ... read more
This album is quite ethereal, which makes it quite an interesting and different listen for me! I do appreciate this and it really feels wonderful to listen to. Bjork does sing beautifully here, and that cannot be denied. I think though that for me, the style starts to feel a little less interesting by the second half. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I feel like I've heard the best of it at the start, and the latter half starts to feel a bit like it's dragging. That ... read more
Ooooof this album is rough. Like really very rough. The melodies here are all over the place, the vocals are borderline annoying at times, and it really doesn't start picking up in enjoyment until the second half, where it finally starts to become solid, but even then just isn't near as good as The Trick To Life. This feels a step down to that album in every regard, with much less experimentation, far less good melodies, less good vocals, and just a lower quality to the album as a ... read more
This album is... good. It's not really anything special to me, and I don't really feel like at any point it does anything very remarkable (besides Blue Super Love!), but it doesn't exactly do anything wrong either. This just feels like a very bog standard indie rock/indie pop album, and I do like those genres, so I'm fine with this. It just is an album.
Favorite Songs: Blue Super Love, One Trick Pony
Least Favorite Songs: Cross My Fingers, Caroline, Shitty Heaven
I think this album is really fun and quite unique for what it is, as a really cool and unique EDM/Art Pop album with a lot of crazy production ideas, some of which land crazy hard and some of which fall pretty flat. It's definitely not a perfect album by ANY means, but I think this is one of the more interesting things I've listened to in some time. FKA twigs has some really wonderful vocal work here too, for the most part. Not sure why North West is on here though LMAO

Now don't get me wrong. I adore this album, everything it is, and I adore Ichiko Aoba so dang much. She could make some of her weakest stuff and I will still eat it up because of just how wonderfully soothing and peaceful her voice is. That being said, I can't help but feel like this could've just been a liiiittle bit more. The short 35 minute length of the album means a lot of songs get less time to shine than I wish they would, and adding that combined with some interlude ... read more
