This album has quite the strong start, with songs like An Elegant Weapon and Echoes In Eternity being some of his best work in some time, and Rainbow Eyes being a solid track that hearkens back to his Monstercat tunes from some years ago, but everything after Rainbow Eyes kinda falls apart for me here. It all feels very flat or uninteresting, and is missing the progression that I enjoy from Notaker. The vibes and sounds are all here, but the structure just feels messy in many of the tracks. ... read more
This album is quite solid, but I feel that at times I'm struggling to catch the true meaning of the tracks. Whether by some lyrics and vocals being a bit hard to hear, or just the meaning maybe being very personal to indigo awning, but it does make some tracks a little hard to grasp on a first listen. I will say though that the emotions and feelings this album evokes are definitely strong, and it has a strong sense of longing. I could definitely see myself growing onto this album, and I'm ... read more
I truly do not know if I can find the words to describe how I feel about this album, but I will try my best. This is from start to finish, a masterclass of that ever so wonderful loving feeling, and throughout the whole album Laufey really shows just how much she understands about love, the feeling of love, and that heartwarming feeling. It's so perfectly captured here in a way that I did not expect to love so much, and every single song here captures Laufey's gorgeous voice with incredible ... read more
This album was not a *bad* listen by any means, I had a pleasant time listening to it and I don't feel like any part of it is directly bad or frustrating, but it is a very bland album. It exists, and I listened to it, but I don't feel like San Holo really pushed himself very hard with this one. Feels very safe. That's about all I have to say about it.

I consider myself to be an absolute DROELOE superfan, and I frankly have quite enjoyed the singles leading up to this album (besides Landscape, that one is weird), but I cannot possibly understand what happened here. Every non-single song either has weird production, empty drops, or these absolutely TERRIBLE voice memos that are interjected in the worst ways possible. I cannot possibly understand what happened here to cause these to happen, because DROELOE has never made work this... ... read more
If WAP was already bad, this is 10x worse, no originality or good elements to be found here, move along
An overall somewhat decent album, marred by a lot of weird tracks that are well produced but fall flat in terms of ideas. I find Skrillex's style to really just not be my thing, but even then, there are a lot of annoying vocal works here that drag things down, and a general sense of things being very... empty. That feeling works in some tracks, but overall does not work well in most.

Just straight up one of the dumbest albums I've ever heard. None of these songs flow very well with each other, which is basically necessary if you need a 21 MINUTE ALBUM, and the intro and interlude feel so stupidly out of place that the whole thing feels pointless. Hero and Can You Feel It Now? are pretty nice, but the rest of this album is utterly unnecessary to listen to. My least favorite album of 2023 so far.

This album is pretty sonically, and a beautiful expression of emotion and instrumentation through some of ODESZA's best production yet. I can't say this absolutely wowed me in every aspect (the middle falters quite a bit with some more laid back meh filler-y tracks) but the beginning and ending of this album is so strong that I come around on the whole thing being a wonderfully soothing and hopeful experience. If I had to describe ODESZA's music and feeling in one word, it would be ... read more
While this album falters in some places (particularly the middle) with some very questionable song choices (why is there a random reprise of a song in here?), it has such incredible strengths that I cannot help but love it. Juelz brought his A game here on the best tracks, and managed to provide a lot of variety to his style, with each song feeling distinctly different. It has weaker points, but those really don't bring down the best stuff here too much. Probably the best Juelz work to ... read more
This really barely feels like an album, it just is a big collection of weird experimental singles, some more normal than others, and some really weird to the point of just not working at all. EMBRACE was a far better album than this, however I don't... hate this either. It has its moments.
Favorite Songs: Drive, Circles, Mirage
Least Favorite Songs: I LUV U, Paper Moon
While I have to admit that this definitely didn't hit quite as hard as I hoped, Last Heroes really knew the vibe they wanted with this album, and to that end they ABSOLUTELY nail it. There are some real gems here, and even the ones that I don't like quite as much are nowhere near bad and still contribute really nicely to the overall vibe. This was an absolutely wonderful listen, and while it won't reach my album of the year spot, I can safely say I had a great time listening :)

What is there even to say? The way that this album begins and ends, and pulls itself together, bringing a sense of world building and adventure and emotion in every song, is unbelievable. It's simply unlike anything I have ever heard, and by the end of the album I was left sobbing and not wanting to leave. It tells a story in a way that is truly unique and incredible, every song pushing the next ahead with a strong meaning to each track, and you can really feel the amount of care and thought ... read more
This is not really an album that sticks out through the power of its singles, besides some very standout ones, but rather is an album that shines through it's sheer ability to build an incredible atmosphere through amazing orchestration and production, while providing a distinctly unique and incredible experience throughout. Not every part of it hits for me (I find the middle to be especially lacking) but as an album, I feel like this is a triumph nonetheless.

This album is a really big mixed bag of ideas, that I wish spent more time on its melodic focuses. The melodic cuts here are very minimal, and the heavy stuff (minus some songs like It's Gone and Thrill and Rabbit) are very lacking and uninteresting for me. It has it's moments, but I find myself wishing for more here from Effin. What I can really appreciate though is the commitment to the old school tv show theming, which is done extremely well throughout the whole album, but it's just not ... read more
