A Dark Machine

I honestly went into this pretty positively, as I have pretty nice memories of this album. Despite that, this album ended up being a bit of a flop for me coming back to it. The best thing this album has going for it is it's theming and atmosphere, which are really on point the entire time. I love the synth-y style it has from start to finish, and without it this album would be a lot less cohesive and interesting. Unfortunately, that cohesion leads to my other problem with this album, which is that its super all over the place in quality. Some songs, like Run or A Dark Machine, are really quality tracks that still feel great even today, but then you have songs like Bleed Black that feel entirely out of place, and the interludes that break up the album too much. On top of this, a lot of the songs just feel a bit long, or lacking. There's just not a ton I love here, but the songs I do love are great!
