Really went into this expecting it to be a lot more mid on a re-listen, but while it's certainly not the most ground-breaking EDM I've heard, this has a lot of heart and effort put into it, and ends up being a collection of easily SLUMBERJACK's best work across their entire career. There's songs with some genuinely great sound design such as Excalibur and Arc Second and And I, catchy pop-infused songs like Poision and Not For You, and even some more strange ones that still work like Pain. There's very little that *doesn't* work here (mostly found in the beginning first few songs, and the ending song), and easily the part to highlight the most is the vocal work. I was consistently surprised by the vocal work being stellar throughout, often times overshadowing the production or making up for lacking production/drops in a song. All in all, while SLUMBERJACK themselves could've maybe pushed a bit harder here, the vocals are great, the ideas are strong, and this is just a dang fun album to listen to.
