Telos from Zedd is an interesting time. In terms of other albums in the EDM space, this has some of the best cohesiveness and flow that I've ever heard, with some incredibly well done transitions, and the songs really feeling like they flow amazingly well into one another. I also really appreciate the variety on this album, every song here ends up feeling fairly distinct while also not being too far from the base "Zedd" feeling. The production also, for the most part, is very clean!
That's not to say its perfect though. There are some songs on here that are just kind of weird, a lot of the songs feel a bit underbaked compared to others, such as the Dream Brother cover just having some really lackluster drops and Lucky being a really generic pop song. However, when the songs get good and really push for something great, Zedd breaks a lot of his generic boundaries and makes some really amazing stuff, especially with the help of the MANY collaborators and vocalists.
While it does feel pretty short as a whole, and definitely could've strived to be a little more, it's clear to me that Zedd did care a lot, and really did put together something special. This album is one of the albums that really feels like an experience, and for all the good and bad, I think it ended up being a very good experience as a whole!
