this album is a turning point for tyler. i believe this is when he really, really, started to make a name for himself, as a result of group-mate, frank ocean's "channel ORANGE" and the constant motivation from longtime mentor pharrell williams. tyler saw that he could make quality music and have people talking about his work without the brass and ultimately immature lyrics and messy production. tracks like "48" or "rusty" really solidifies his skill as a lyricist, while tracks like "bimmer" or "treehome95" tyler brings out his softer more lush production. if you like a good story, intermediate lyricism, star-studded features, and hard hitting production, Wolf is the album for you.
