Chief Keef studio albums always have the benefit of a better mixing and a more cleanly sound which is usually a good thing. That's the case here. Dedication offers good production, good energy, and overall, a Chief Keef that really feels like he cares to put out a good product. I didn't mind pretty much everything on here and found it to be really consistently solid. The first leg of the album offered some great material such as "Ticket", "Keke Palmer", "Mailbox", "Cook", and "Text". We also got some newer age Keef sounding bangers with "Less Speed" and "Let Me See", the latter reminding me of the really high energy grand production of a song like "Grape Trees" from Almighty So 2. "N*gro" also had some really cool production, super unusual for Sosa but it worked with the Thot Breaker type style. "Kills" is another one of the best things on this album with classic ignorant flows but a tough beat and infectious attitude.
I always wanted to listen to this project. The mid-late 2010s seemed like a really interesting time for Chief Keef, getting more comfortable with previously unfamiliar sounds, whether that produced a good or bad album. This is quite solid though and delivered plenty of highlights.
