For a rapper who has often thumbed his nose at technical virtuosity, Keef’s craft is increasingly complex and intriguing.
Chief Keef sticks to what he does well, which makes him hard to fault. Nonetheless Dedication is good rather than great, paling in comparison to his June release, Thot Breaker.
These gratifying moments on Dedication just aren’t enough to restore Keef’s viability at a time when it is so obvious that others are benefitting from his archetype. If anything, his is a cautionary tale for today’s young SoundCloud sensations to heed, lest they end up squandering their time in the spotlight.
Great album, but I approve of this cover, probably my favorite Chief Keef cover is the more new and unique one that I also noticed recently :0
