It’s a fun trip into the 70s, doing the era justice. It just fails to stand out enough past the first few tracks to be much more than a sweet background listen.
It’s lacking the latchable, catchy moments I come to expect from Bladee. It feels very monotonous. The passion of cold vision hasn’t seemed to carry over. There is some nice atmospheric production from white armor per usual to enjoy tho
Listening to this album and it’s like hit, hit, hit, hit. Simply one incredibly charismatic and catchy chipmunk soul/rap bop after another.
It just gets too obnoxious to enjoy some of the cool Peggy production. It’s not awful, but I can’t say I want to listen to it again
At least it’s not the torture chamber those first few tracks suggest it will be. It’s just at best bland and at worst quite annoying. Iffy iffy is alright and Saki is a bit fun tho
I had to laugh at the knocked loose sample. JR fans are eating good. Shits crazyyy
A very consistent and enjoyable record. Simply smooth and vibey with great lyricism
It’s a barrage of bland 4 on the floor dance beats. It comes across clear this is not his forte. It feels amateur and emotionless
There is sooo much reverb and those drums and guitars are very loud. I don’t think there’s a single frequency that isn’t being blasted 😭 the vocals are hard to hear but this is very beautiful
It’s a bit tough to rate cause I haven’t heard anything entirely like this, but it’s very pretty. The production is very lush and gorgeous and I would love to hear it expanded on.
The back half gets a bit samey and forgettable and it could go without a couple of the skits, but the front half is a generational run of tracks with some of gunns best beats and flows and incredible features
There’s some cool production but some of the hooks just don’t do much for me. It’s at its best for me when it chilling in a lush soundscape
Features one great verse. Otherwise, it’s a short lil ep that sees little simz trying something new and it unfortunately does not land
I personally prefer what’s happening here more than yall. It just doesn’t go anywhere really. I like it tho
I wish it didn’t take me this long to get around to this. This is some incredibly charismatic and thoughtful modern soul. It’s so breezy and smooth
A very solid conscious hiphop record that just loses steam for a bit in the middle
