Lots of experimentation here in comparison to previous records. Cool to see elements from thrash metal appearing in Symptom of the Universe, given that this style would only mature in the 80s. Also loved the way Ozzy sings here, sounds like a mixture of D. Mustaine (1st half) + R. Plant/ I. Anderson (2nd half). Favorite song of the record.
Absolutely beautiful. A cathartic culmination of all phases of Deafheaven since Sunbather.
