Very strangely structured album. An ambient piece, then 8 hardcore punk songs, then another ambient piece but it’s 10 minutes. As an overall album it’s weaker than fetch but there are things it does better, for example the lyricism doesn’t seem like nonsense and each song has a clear theme. It’s also nice to have live drums. On the chorus of chain-shot the snare on every 8th note is brutal by grindcore standards.

My introduction to tangerine dream. All 4 tracks are great and unique. The short track count made the album feel quite short.

I liked that cinnamon road basically felt like a pop song and is probably my most listened to song on the album. The only album like this I’ve listed to is the Blade Runner score and I felt this was like that but less emotive.

I decided to relisten to this because when I first listened to it about a year ago my music listening habits were much different: I just picked out the songs that were catchy and adrenaline filled and ignored the rest as well as the lyrics.

I chose to relisten to it to try and pick up on the narrative as well as the dc tracks. I kind of picked up on a narrative from cops and robbers to Johnny Johnny Johnny but other than that run of tracks the rest of the album sounded like unrelated events. I ... read more
