HIM - Razorblade Romance
NR

Pretty much the midpoint between MCR and Type O Negative. I was expecting a dumb bombastic collection of corny gothic metal songs which is exactly what I got. Lyrically it was very lackluster, every song is about how Ville loves a girl and they both die. Maybe I'm not looking into it enough.

Oklou - choke enough
NR

A great ethereal tapestry which is a bit flawed in terms of structure and like 2 production choices at most. Oklou is a lyrical and melodic genius and can squeeze loads of emotion out of you as well as ytansport you to that ethereal dream like realm. Its a beautful marrige of Magdelena Bay, the blade runner soundtrack and i guess 100 gecs. However that bladee feature was very out of place.

Viagra Boys - viagr aboys
NR

Exactly what I want from a Viagra Boys album. Everything I love about the band can be found here and it's also a great introduction to the band.

Depeche Mode - Violator
NR

Fuck man, that's a masterpiece if I've ever heard one. I'm convinced this is a concept album about a person join a cult and contains themes of autonomy, lonlieness and addiction but I'm not explaining all that here and now. Perfectly distopian new wave synthesisers. Grand peaks and intimate chilling moments. Possibly the greatest album I've ever heard in my life.

David Bowie - Hunky Dory
NR

How tf is this is an album with a stronger side B than side A? Especially when Changes and Life on fucking Mars is on this album.
