I absolutely LOOOOOVE the gritty and lo-fi presentation of this album. Black Thought's lyrics (not surprisingly) are riddled with emotion, vivid imagery and intricate rhyme schemes that are just a joy to listen to even if your not paying super close attention to the message being delivered. As mentioned previously Danger Mouse KILLED IT on production. All of these beats are so intricate and layered with odd sound effects, hard drums and smooth and catchy melodies (I'm not crazy about the beat on Close To Famous, but everything else is great). There's a couple tracks on this album where I feel like a stronger sense of song structure was needed or an idea could've been fleshed out more but other than that, this is one of the best hip-hop releases of the year and it definitely shouldn't go under your radar.
