Kanye West - Yeezus

I already know this is an absurd take for many people, but 𝘠𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘢𝘴 is without a doubt my favorite Ye project and I don't think he missed a single time for the entire duration of this tracklist. The production is aggressive and unlike anything I've ever heard from Ye before and while the lyricism could obviously be improved upon, the sound of every song on this album is undeniably incredible. Every song on here is actively in my rotation and I will defend this ... read more

OutKast - Stankonia

Every song on 𝘚𝘡𝘒𝘯𝘬𝘰𝘯π˜ͺ𝘒 feels extremely fresh, funky and unlike anything I've ever heard before. The chemistry between the two OutKast members has always been good, but it especially shines on this album. Before i listened to 𝘚𝘡𝘒𝘯𝘬𝘰𝘯π˜ͺ𝘒 for the first time, I also had the fear of it being bloated, since 24 tracks is quite a lot, but BOY, was I wrong. Every song hits, the interludes are cool and nothing feels remotely out of place. Without ... read more

Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version)

I already know I'm gonna be attacked by every Swiftie for this rating, but I'd rather be yelled at than blatantly lie, so this is my honest opinion. Do I think this is Taylor's best album? Definitely. Do I think it's a modern pop classic? I can see that. But is it a phenomenal album? Not really. Look, I can respect why everyone loves this thing to death, but at the end of the day, there's much better pop records out there and this album isn't anything too special. ... read more

Lil Wayne - Tha Fix Before Tha VI

While this project is definitely better than the dumpster fire that was π˜›π˜©π˜’ 𝘊𝘒𝘳𝘡𝘦𝘳 𝘝𝘐, it still isn't groundbreaking at all for a rapper like Wayne and for rap music in general. I thought "Kat Food" was a fairly decent song and "Slip" was a cool cut from the album (even though the chorus was goofy as hell), but most of the rest of the mixtape falls pretty flat. Looking at other projects from Weezy though, the outcome still could've ... read more

Β₯$ - VULTURES 2

Alright, I normally don't write extremely long reviews, but I feel like it's necessary for an album like this. Seeing that the same man who made masterpieces like 𝘠𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘢𝘴 and the entirety of the college trilogy making a dumpster fire like π˜π˜œπ˜“π˜›π˜œπ˜™π˜Œπ˜š is genuinely sad. Half of the album is either unfinished, uses AI vocal effects, is terribly mixed or all three of them. Plus, the lyricism is the cherry on top, since the anti-semetic comments and ... read more
