I've been putting off Radiohead for far too long. They're not only one of the biggest modern rock groups, but they're one of the biggest rock groups ever. I have to admit, I was originally going to review this for my 100th review, but I was too nervous to tackle this. 'What if I don't like it?' I would ask myself, 'I'll be setting myself up for disappointment.' It really didn't help that two of this band's albums have been in the top three highest rated albums on the site, and both are now currently the top two. I always knew that I had to come around to these guys eventually. Hell, they're the most reviewed artist on the whole site! Of course I would come to them sooner or later! So I thought I may as well listen to them for my 500th review.

I'm going to say off the bat that I don't think I can do this justice. I don't even think that my review will even be the best one here. Others have written much better reviews; reviews that I don't even think I'd be capable of writing at the moment. But I will definitely try to make this as good of a review as I can.

Needless to say, I loved this album. I know, it's a shock, right? I was so worried it wouldn't click with me right away as so many other people have had that problem, but right from the opener, Airbag, I knew I was in for something special. It was the sound that instantly grasped my attention and kept it. Now, I gotta be honest, I'm not usually one to pay attention to lyrics on the first listen. I usually don't even bother until I'm on my fourth or fifth listen, and only when I know for sure that I like the album enough. This, however, this just felt like I needed the lyrics to understand. As soon as the singing on Airbag started, I rushed over to genius to follow along. And honestly, I think that's the best thing I could've done. I don't know what my thoughts would have been had I not been reading the lyrics, or if my opinion on the album would be any different, but for some of these songs it felt essential for me to understand what he was talking about. The first song actually made me quite emotional. As someone who was in a bad car accident when I was much, much younger, I felt like I could relate to Thom in a way.

From there on, all of the tracks were all nothing short of phenomenal. I don't think I could talk to them at length (as I did for Airbag), but believe me when I say that I loved everything presented here. I could list all of the tracks and briefly explain why I liked them so much, but I'm going to save time by only mentioning a couple. I thought that Exit Music was a really beautiful song. It actually ended up being my favourite song on the album just because it was such a pretty yet dark song. And the fact that it's apparently about that Leonardo DiCaprio Romeo + Juliet movie is honestly surprising. I don't usually read up on song meanings, so I never would have guessed it would have anything to do with that. I also thought that Paranoid Android, Let Down, Karma Police, Lucky and The Tourist were all extremely interesting tracks, but I think I'll just leave it at that.

Also, just in case anyone is wondering, my "least" favourite track on here is Fitter Happier, which I doubt anyone would be too surprised about. But even that track was one that I quite enjoyed. It's just a short - less than two minute - track which just shows a text-to-speech robot listing off random things. Yet, somehow, they managed to make even that intriguing enough for me to not even want to mention it as my least favourite on the album.

So, did I like this album? Hell yes! This is definitely a record that I can see myself coming back to. Hell, I may even re-write this review in the future if and when I feel like I can do better. I can definitely see this one growing on me a bit, and I may even end up giving it a perfect score. But for right now, I'm just going to leave it at this.

Favourite Tracks: Exit Music (For A Film); Paranoid Android; Airbag; Let Down; The Tourist; Karma Police; Lucky; Electioneering

Least Favourite Track: N/A
