Yeah considering this is their comeback single this is really disappointing. The autotune doesn’t sound good and the verses are some of the worst I’ve ever heard from The Strokes. The melody doesn’t flow at all and it just gets annoying. The redeeming part of this song is that the instrumental sounds fine, although far from their best, and the chorus is pretty good. I think fantano has a vendetta against any country song that gets popular these days, this song was obviously made for the radio but it’s catchy and is a top 10 song that actually uses real instruments which is unfortunately refreshing these days
