Yes it’s that good, it’s definitely the best iteration of the Good Kid sound they’ve ever put out but it’s still just too short. There’s no way we’re calling 25 minutes a debut album
the strokes are on of my favorite bands of all time, but ts ain't it man
this is genuinely almost a perfect album, but nobody's listening lowkey pisses me off so bad, I feel like if it went From The Inside straight into Numb, this would genuinely be a 10. 30 minutes of straight heat, no skips, no filler, just peak. I don't even dislike Nobody's Listening, it just throws off the ending of the album. From the Inside feels like it builds perfectly into the grand finale and Numb is that, it works, but this album is still amazing.
yeah this is just great pop music. people don’t know shit about music on this website
he who makes a beast out himself gets rid of the pain of being a man
I just got this CD for Christmas, and I lowkey forgot that the first half of this album (with the unfortunate exception of The House Jack Built is unironically REALLY good, and while this isn't the classic Metallica, it's not trying to be. I'll listen to the whole thing with the second half tomorrow cause I'm tired and I kinda remember the second half dragging quite a bit but we'll see, I have some hopes
the older I get, the further I stray from liking hiphop, maybe that's why I'm not that big of a fan
there's just so many songs I don't like on here, it feels like the leftover scraps from Clancy, but Drum Show, Tally, City Walls, and Center Mass are pretty fire
This album feels almost nostalgic in a way, it sounds like a bunch of friends making music together just trying to make something out of it, and somehow, it all works. This album is actually really really good. Is it entirely cohesive? No, not really, but its inconsistency makes it what it is. It’s a really good album, I’m looking forward to whatever these guys are going to cook up next
