WOOOOOWWWW. I've missed this sound in mainstream music, thank you Ms. Dean. To have someone give music like this and be successful on a mainstream level is so special. Her voice is just beyond perfect, it sits in your mind. All of a sudden I'm humming to Olivia Dean whenever I have a chance. Instrumentally it is also gorgeous. I mean it is just such a fully realized project.

Top Three - So Easy (To Fall In Love), Loud, A Couple Minutes

I LOVE the way this album sounds. Ari Lennox has the perfect voice for the lane of RnB she is in, she knows how to perfectly employ different sounds across the album. I think the biggest disconnect for me is the lyrical content, which is kind of silly, but I was listening to this in public and started blushing. There's something about Madison Beer that just won't connect in my brain. Her voice is gorgeous but feels like it lacks a certain grit my ear is looking for, and when you couple that with very silky production it can turn into a bit of a bland endeavor. An album that you can't help but have fun while listening to, but this album also reminds you that this was very directed at teenage girls, and it does a great job at that. I think the production on this album is absolutely fire and irresistible. I think this album is one I'll come back to every once in a while just to have a good time, but the track quality does vary quite heavily. However, the title track?? FIRE!!!!
