I don't know if I'm fully confident in calling this a perfect record, but it's gotta be one of the strangest and out there listening experiences you can get from this medium.

Undeniably Charlie Christian is one fo the most influenccial jazz musicans of all time, for guitar at the very least, but while this sounds good, and you can tell Charlie is really paving a way for future jazz guitarists I can't say I'm in love with what he's doing like other other jazz guitarists such as John McLaughlin, Masayoshi Takanaka, Grant Green, and Wes Montgomery. Whenever Coltrane dips into cool jazz for a full album it tends to not show as much emotion as his modal and spiritual stuff. I’m not saying he can’t do it right songs like naima and my little brown book an incredible, but most of the time Coltrane doesn’t do this style as well as his contemporaries. Definitely not bad but didn’t move me too much, McCoy’s playing is really good though.
I enjoyed it, but I feel like a lot of these songs sound the same to me
This one of those albums I’ve heard since I was little and it has always stuck with me. Every time I listen to this record I always get this comfort washing over me, it feels like I’m being held by my grandma when I was younger.
