I think emotional albums like this shouldn't be rated.
It's very ambitious and it reaches so many of these expectations from me at the very least.
So many inspirations that she just nails so good.
A must listen.
NO WARNING?? JUST A RANDOM DROP??
AND ITS SO GOOD???? WHATTTTTTTT???
Going to relisten to this a couple times.
Current opinion is though, great BUT Sticky sucks so bad.
Edit:
Every song is beautiful in it's own way and i really enjoy them all EXCEPT Sticky. I feel it ruins the entire flow of the album and is unnecessary, at least to ME it is.
First half is flawless and the second half is almost flawless. Really great stuff.
Not quite as good as Twin Fantasy 18' but still really good and my second favorite indie rock release.
10/10
This is an album that i've been listening to on and off and i still havent changed of the opinion that it is probably the best Indie Rock release TO ME!!!! I will never stop glazing this album and their HOPEFULLY upcoming album, if you haven't already please please stop listen to it.
10/10
This is my favorite out of the three album they released in 2022 which most people seem to agree with. Honestly wish i had this on vinyl because it is genuinely that good and one of my favorite recent releases from them. All the songs are solid and really well made and put together. Read somewhere they made the concept of the album in jam sessions spanning over a week, thus the 7 track length of the album. I think this album is really cool and deserves more recognition amongst all of their ... read more
You don't really need to listen to more than The River on this record, the rest of the songs are pretty okay too but i think the definitive highlight is The River. God Is in the Rhythm is also pretty good and my personal favorite off this album but if you really just want the "essential" KGLW experience then The River is for you.
Still a really great release from them though, although i prefer I'm in Your Mind Fuzz heavily over this.
7/10
This album is basically if Nonagon Infinity's songs we're made to have allot of story (especially the second story). And i dont prefer this album over Nonagon in the slightest but it has some amazing and great moments. Does kind of make me sad this is their last real purely "Psychedelic Rock" release.
The Spoken Word part of this album is what actually gives it it's story for the most part, some of it is explained in the sung lyrics. In the moments they don't ... read more
Their best release by a long shot. If you haven't already, listen to Ghostship EP. It's the more raw version of this album with just two of the tracks not being in there. If you just like the rawness of that release and that's what u like it for you probably wont like this AS MUCH.
As a TFOT head you should definitely still listen to this release as its my favorite from them, the mixing and production is top notch and the best on any of their projects.

This album is far far less boring than their first outing. And has some actually okay songs!! This album still has the issue of songs being good and then having a horrible song played afterwards. "Cannibal" is an actual okay song off this album and then "Who You Are" plays, a pretty bad song in my opinion. They definitely found their identity more when making this album and that's great. Watching those videos they uploaded around this time shows that they actually were ... read more
I return to Tally Hall every year or so and check in if i dislike them or not. And i still very much do.
Allot of these songs just aren't very great. It has it's enjoyable moments but usually stops really fast when the track after it plays.
The best way i could describe this is boring and at times OKAY.
Wouldn't recommend this to anyone really unless you are specifically looking for funny silly songs, then yes this is for you.
Decent album, basically on the same level as their early work. The song "Chain Wallet, Nike Shoes" isn't improved to me in the slightest, maybe if they kept the original style and lyrics of the song i would've liked it more. This counts for all other songs off the first side of the album to me.
Guitars are still really good but of course not as good as early TFOT or 30 Years War.
A must listen if you liked their first couple releases though.
While not even close to as good as Doppelganger, it still has some pretty solid songs. Demos are pretty much impossible (if not completely impossible) to find for any of these songs which initially really disappointed me at first. But these songs really aren't that impressive compared to their previous work.
The song that stuck out the most to me is The Dark Trail which does seem to be a favorite amongst most fans.
If you did like Doppelganger but felt it needed to be toned down, that is ... read more
Great re-recordings of their previous songs AND great new songs that were introduced in the demo's they had prior to the release of this album. There's some alternate mixes of some of the tracks somewhere online which i tracked down and they sound nowhere near as good as the final mixes on this album.
I think it strikes a perfect balance between fast and comprehensible. Definitely a must listen for anyone who likes fast and noisy guitars.
Also definitely check out their other stuff ... read more
While not their best work by a LONG shot. It has a really great song from them "Chain Wallet, Nike Shoes".
I prefer this version over the re-recorded version they released a few years back.
Would i recommend this to anyone? If you're into TFOT yes, as well if you're doing a discog dive. But other than that i wouldnt recommend it at all.
There are allot of variations of this Demo tape, i've listened to the majority of them.
The tracks that are listed here are probably the best mixed. Ghostship II and III both DO have Demo's but they're harder to find.
Ghostship II in specific was probably recorded a little earlier than most Ghostship songs.
Also the mixing on II reminds me of their 2002 work, ESPECIALLY the way the vocals r mixed and recorded.
Either way it's interesting to see the history of this band ... read more
Really great emo album, vocals remind me of MCR's first album a whole lot.
My favorite live record from them from this year of touring.
Really good lineup of songs and overall great performances, not as good as Red Rocks 22' though.
