There's nothing here below a 6/10. There's one track that gets above a 7/10. Make of that what you will
The story ends with a dud. At least this wasn't Scaled and Icy
Edit: 77 -> 38 After a relisten, I noticed a lot of issues that have been pointed out by other reviewers. I wanted to like this but clearly I had rose tinted classes to the better days of TOP and hoped this could sneak in. Sadly no, this goes into the same category as Scaled and Icy as its garbage
An album that while it may not be revolutionary, is a solid piece. Ending with Naked World is probably the best way to help a score for this
Just the right amount of blues today to make you question what decade this really came from
Goes hard as a motherfucker. Truly put in a spin cycle
Wow it's a Beatles cover band. Please let me gargle their nuts while I talk about how no one could make this now.
A long way up from the days of whipping her hair back and forth, Willow can now be taken seriously as an artist. A fun blend of genres and good performances throughout make this a major surprise for me
Some solid stuff, especially by hair metal standards. Solid shreds and 80s vocals put to good use here
I realize the quality is immense with this. It just bored me so much
Arjen Lucassen has yet another project. Working with long time partner in crime Robert Soeterboek. Providing some 70s/90s combo sounds only in a way that Lucassen can. While not the greatest project from the Dutchman, a solid listen that lets the wild west be not just a story driver, but an instrumental driver as well, as Lucassen doesn't allow for restraints
It's live Ayreon, hard to mess that up. They even enhanced tracks that I personally wasn't a massive fan of (Connect the Dots and Web of Lies) so a plus in my book.
Band name suggested punk, listen suggested I need to not judge a band by their name
This album helps me understand Spektor better, a writer not afraid to get specific or be a little silly. Better execution than Soviet Kitsch I feel
