Opeth - Damnation
94

Gorgeous melodies, amazing vocal delivery. Truly an amazing album

Little Big - Lobster Popstar
57

Perfectly acceptable brain rot

Jhariah - TRUST CEREMONY
96

Lost for words at how amazing this is. Blends so well together and is yet so chaotic. So much energy that emulates through the whole project

BIG|BRAVE - A Chaos of Flowers
62

Never has a metal album been so slow

Lucy Rose - This Ain't The Way You Go Out
71

Great production. Truly floating away on a calm river

Clarx - Broken String
28

Good thing I put on private session for this. This is souless as it can get

69

A solid period piece. I loved these guys around 8 to 10 years ago and sometimes I can't help but put on a song or two from them. They may be fucked in the head but maybe the zef style is the friends we made along the way or something

Couch Slut - You Could Do It Tonight
81

What can I say besides goddamn it knows what the vibe is and keeps it up through the whole listen

My Dying Bride - A Mortal Binding
75

While not mind blowing, this is still a good metal project

half•alive - At Fingerprints (Acoustic)
65

I feel like I need to know what the original tracks sound like before I give this a proper comparison. However it is solid acoustic stuff

Dyatic - The Third Kind
78

Rarely do you see a concept album in this section of the music scene. But this works quite well as a whole

Lil' Kim - Hard Core
45

Well at least Kim knows what she wants. Some good production but my goodness the writing on this is mid at best. Won't deny she's a pioneer but that doesn't make this good

Dvne - Voidkind
68

A mixed bag. While the opening track and Abode of the Perfect Soul are exceptional, the rest are not able to match the truly great stuff there. Still well made though

In Vain - Solemn
70

A nice blend of various types of metal. Never gets too carried away

Phish - Rift
64

As someone who loves prog and long track lengths, I felt like there wasn't a lot of payoff throughout this album. Could they jam? Yes of course, it is a jam band after all. Outside of the opening track though this felt dated even for the 90s and I could find similar and probably better sounds of a similar nature in the 70s.

All that being said, there wasn't anything inherently wrong, just wrong era with minimal payoff especially lyrically

Adele - 21
83

God, Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You carry this to the 8/10 realm

Hozier - Unreal Unearth
85

Hozier is not secretly deeply disturbed. No sir. Not this artist

SeeYouSpaceCowboy - Coup de Grâce
89

Can't tell if released in 2004 or 2024. Doesn't matter either way. This shit slaps so hard

Edit: 82 → 89 This is just getting better and better each listen

Funkadelic - One Nation Under a Groove
74

Early stages this was really good, then Promentalshitbackwashpsychosis came and it just took me out of the rest of the album. Still enjoyable funk shit

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT
37

She still can't find any new/original/entertaining material. Florence did not save Florida just made it *slightly* more tolerable
