This is the best BMTH album I've listened to so far. It got everything.
Electronical and more experimental segments, amazing instrumentals overall, genre crossovers, metalcore drums, trap drums, all sorts of drums,...
Amazing and enthusiastic vocal performances from Oli Sykes and emo-like lyricism, though it sounds at times too edgy and corny, but nevertheless it doesn't disappoint.
And the most important thing - the album offers variety. Something, which became rare in ... read more
Arguably the best twenty one pilots song. Fun fact: This song was able to get me out of my depression for like two weeks. And this is a whole lot for a single song to accomplish.
This right here is a top 3 sematary project
Sure, it doesnt have that many generational classics than other projects of him, but over its course of 30 minutes the quality of the tracks stays pretty consistent, although the tracks sound a bit samey at a certain point of the album.
On this project, Sematary seems to have perfected his formula consisting of distorted chicago drill drums, monotone vocal performances, which still do have their charm as well as beautiful witch house leads and ... read more
This might the best emo song I've ever listened to. Incredible and dramatic singing by both Vic and Kellin, great and diverse production, fantastic screams and strong lyricism. This song has it all.
A good follow-up to „Pretti“. While the sound on „Pretti“ was way more plugg-based, „Funhouse“ puts its focus more towards creating a distorted and maximalistic soundscape.
The production is mostly top-notch and jolly and the album has some of Prettifun's best tracks to date like „Dead First“, „Feel Like Uzi“ and „Bbyangl“.
However, contrary to „Pretti“, „Funhouse“ isn't really that ... read more
best sematary single oat
Like, every aspect about this song is perfect:
- The cowbells, the SFX and the DJ SORROW tags at the beginning
- The distorted electric guitar which plays throughout the whole song
- The witch house lead in the hook which is maybe the best lead I've ever heard
- The repetitive chorus from Sematary which goes supa dupa hard and at this point is iconic
- The iconic lyrics - there are many many quotable lines: „Four the morn', light my cig with a damn ... read more
At first I thought, this mixtape couldn't compete with GRAVE HOUSE in terms of quality - and I couldn't have been more wrong.
HUNDRED ACRE WRIST does what GRAVE HOUSE couldn't do - bringing more variety to the table and keeping the songs short enough so the songs are more replayable and the listener is kept engaged from start to finish.
This mixtape makes me feel like I'm walking through the woods on a spring day with a fucking chainsaw in my hand, which is the reason why ... read more
The best release I've heard this year so far. There are literally no misses on this chaotic masterpiece of a project. This blend of Rage, Digicore and EDM really works well throughout the whole album and I didn't feel any boredom whatsoever at any point of this mixtape. The beats are very great and uniquely produced and Lucy's versatile vocals blend very well with the production. Even the lyrics have some sort of variety, which isn't really casual for rage projects. And with ... read more
Umm…I'm pretty disappointed by this project. Sem is in his Gucci Mane era and I don’t really fck with it.
First of all, this project is really bloated. There are way too many misses to justify the project's long ahh duration of 90 minutes. And this doesn’t always to have to be a problem - COLD VISIONS is a pretty good example for an album, that has a whole lot of tracks but at the same time it manages to grab your attention constantly and entertain you through its ... read more
Best Bladee single we had this year so far
Ecco also does a fantastic job on this one
Probably Sematary's and Ghost Mountain's peak. How can a debut project be that great?
Production-wise, black metal samples and witch house synths and leads clash together with distorted plugg drums, which leads to a pretty interesting sound, over which Sem and Ghost perform with a muddy and unclean mix talking about killing cops and mixing Red Bull with alcohol - and it sounds fantastic!
The whole aesthetic which is presented over the course of this whole project is pretty unique, ... read more
A great rage album.
There are no real misses on this project and especially the rap-rock production on some of the tracks fits perfectly to them.
It has some of their best songs to date like „Lifestyle“ and „Lif3“ and as a huge rage fan myself I would definitely recommend this project.
I am excited to listen to HL2.
