Yes, people say this album is too much of the same, but I like that it's contained and doesn't try to branch out too much. This is like sitting by the window on a rainy day with a comfy blanket and steaming tea.

Yes, yes. The mixing is bad, the recording has much room for improvement but DAMN this goes hard.

Changing their frontman obviously weakend the group in many ways, though some moments come across more polished and thought-through than their prior projects. Like it or don't, it's okay.

Ashes to ashes is filled with memorable moments and brutally satisfying Deathcore madness.

Though not as strong as their follow-up project, "The Lucid Dreamer" shows what's under the hood of this metalcore group.

Annisokay manages to carry you through songs that all feel like a highlight on the project. Yes, the lyrics sometimes drip with melodrama, but that's the proper metalcore way.

Great tracks on here, but this doesn't feel like one consistent project as much as "in tongues".

The always present atmosphere Joji creates justifies partially poor songwriting enough to make this a very enjoyable project.

Listened to it once briefly and been blown away. Will listen to this dozens more times, possibly changing my score. Holy shit.

Though its lo-fi presentation makes it hard to distinguish between an active artistic choice and the lack of knowledge about proper recording, this album has some weight to it. It feels emotionally charged, heavy, yet not depressing. Liked it quite a bit.
