This album took me a while to get into, because at the time I was listening to it at a very surface level. But one day Fast In My Car and Now clicked for me, and to this day they are two of my favourite Paramore songs. There’s certainly a reason that Still Into You and Ain’t It Fun blew up, because even though they were some of Paramore’s poppiest songs to this point, they sound amazing, with the catchiness of Still Into You striking anyone who listens to it, and the intricacy put into making Ain’t It Fun the, you guessed it, fun song that it is. And then Future... what can I say about Future. Just go listen to it and you’ll see why I’m speechless. Of course if I thought all of the songs were as good as these I would be giving it a perfect score. There’s a few songs that sound ok, but are far inferior to the rest of the album, like Hate To See Your Heart Break and Crazy Girls. But even the interludes in this album are amazing, definitely the best interludes I’ve ever heard, as they don’t seem unnecessary, they’re just nice short acoustic ballads that give you a break from the rest of the album. It’s unusual for a band to make the genre transitions that Paramore has made, and remain consistently great, but Paramore manages to pull it off every time.

Edit: (Original Score: 80) It’s strange how two listens can completely change your opinion on an album you thought you already knew really well, having been listening to it for over a year. The guitars on Be Alone genuinely give me chills.

Favourite Tracks: Now, Fast In My Car, Future

Least Favourite Track: Hate To See Your Heart Break
