JENNIE's solo debut "Ruby" is very polished, and has seemingly no major flaws. she's confident and passionate, and the album ultimately never gets boring. not a single miss in performances by her or any of the features, which is pretty crazy. the production is great. she also takes R&B, pop, and sometimes even hip-hop stances which is awesome. it slows down a lot at the end, but it remains high quality.
being the Gambino and Doechii fan I am, tracks "ExtraL" and "Damn Right" were my favorites. to mention some more highlights, "like JENNIE," "with the IE (way up)," and "ZEN" were straight up bangers, and while "start a war" and "Seoul City" are slower tracks, they still deliver.
this album embodies Jennie's capacity to make great music solo
