Dude could've used absolutely any other idiom saying that doing something for a woman is easy on 'Child's Play.' ~ “Girl, that's just some child's play / bounce that shit like woah, yeah.”
Onto the actual review, Drake's album "Views" is generally okay. I just think Drake is insufferable at this point. Like, what even is this album about? Toronto and women? Cool bro. The substance of the lyricism is at an immense low. Moreover, the ... read more
Didn't feel much while listening to this but I respect it. It's just that Drake always gets outshined by the production, in my opinion. He's still good, but he lacks a general technical proficiency and an interesting approach to his rapping. Definitely the most consistent project of his thus far, though it doesn't have many particular highs.
Edit: Nvm it sneaks the 7.5

Okay bro, ONE extra song...
'The Motto' is a'ight but doesn't have much going on in it

I never liked Drake, but "Take Care" is an eye-opener. I mean, I still want to refrain from regularly listening to this guy's music, but it's good to know some of his works are, to an extent, good.
First, the pros. The production can be very vibrant, which is even cooler and surprising for a Pop Rap record from the early 2010's. Some of these songs are really great, too. I particularly loved 'Shot for Me,' 'Crew Love' with The Weeknd, 'Buried ... read more
This is awful.
"IT'S BEEN AWFUL" is quality work. Zay went for a melodic sound here, which is nice. Unfortunately, it's just a tad boring as a whole, with shortcomings in both production and vocal performances here and there. It lacks catchiness, memorability, and that ear-grabbing factor. I'd go as far as to say it's slightly monotonous. A lot of these songs, I think, "That's pretty nice," but oftentimes I also think, "I don't want to ... read more
Absolutely underrated. These are good beat choices, vocal performances, and features! I'd argue that this is more quality-consistent than 'The Sun's Tirade,' one of his best works. The album's cohesion and introspection components are also intact. It could've used some more variation or experimental/abstract ideas, for sure, but as it is, it's high-quality. Loved 'Claymore' and 'Headshots (4r Da Locals)'

Such a sensational and smooth album; it's a tirade of emotion and lush articulation. The production caresses my ears. His flows and delivery are so clean. Really easy project to keep on project. 'Wat's Wrong' is a perfect song. 'AA' is an underrated pick, too.

Isaiah Rashad is one of the most excellent in the bubble of chill jazz-rap.
Cilvia Demo is Rashad's big blow-up project, having just gotten signed to TDE, which in itself was an immediate good sign that Rashad had talent. Regarding the album, the production's beautiful as hell, and Rashad literally floats on these beats. I also realized that I've underrated Rashad's pen game and his storytelling ability.
Although the album isn't groundbreaking at all. It's ... read more
"Lotus" is Simbi's most critical and dramatic release yet, based on many factors personal to her, the most important being reflection.
I definitely miss Simbi's long-time collaborators, namely Inflo, who produced much of her other great works, and Cleo Sol, who featured in some of her greatest songs, as well as I sympathize with the tough adversities Simbi's gone through regarding these people and more outside of that-- but in a way, these 'losses' contribute ... read more
"Feel you're broken, and you don't exist
When you feel you're broken and you cannot fix it."
"NO THANK YOU" is much more melodic and calmer compared to some of her past works, and honestly, it's a great change of pace. As always, great rapping and production, along with maintaining that emotional impact and introspection we all know and love. Unfortunately, a few of the last tracks aren't quite as good as the rest, though I'm not upset about ... read more
IT'S WOMAN TPAB.
I love music like this, in which I mean, music with unbeatable artistic vision and excellence.
"Sometimes I Might Be Introvert" has top-notch quality in every aspect. The production is grand and breathtaking, and Simbi's rapping is effortlessly perfect. There are beautiful tracks across the project's entirety, even the interludes. Cohesion, songwriting, storytelling, features, any other possible feature you can identify in this album-- they're all ... read more
Little Simz presents a style so vicious, or Venomous, on "GREY Area" that you can only listen in with shock. Long story short, the album is just Simbi talking her shit over awesome production for 30 minutes.
I love the blend of both vulnerability (nostalgia in '101 FM', mental health and avoidance of professional help in 'Therapy', and difficult relationships in 'Sherbet Sunset') and confidence (the track 'Offence' in which Simbi stunts on ... read more
Holy shit. Slayr strikes again with deluxe tracks with more raw energy and slightly more elaborate production than the original batch. The original release was more well-rounded, though, so I think both discs are on par with each other. Anyways, it's another fire drop.

I lost motivation several times last year, 2025, with listening, rating, and reviewing projects. I was also busy with school. Thus, I couldn't get around to listening to some of my most anticipated releases from that year, but now that I've got some more motivation, I hope to listen to all of them, as well as releases from this year forward. I’ll start with Digicore/Rage artist slayr’s community-loved mixtape "Half Blood."

NEW DRUG BUG!
"Hell for a Basement" is raw and touching. Its production is expectedly great, consisting of a wide array of instrumental layers, even minute by minute. On the other hand, though, I think that most production choices are musical cliches, so they don't feel AS satisfying-- though don't get me wrong. It's still really good.
Interestingly, I don't particularly like Star's vocals, but I'd say he put so much aesthetic and emotion into them to ... read more
Dunno what to tell you. I enjoyed this project. Great rapping, great production, great vibes. It's severely overhated. I really liked 2000 EXCURSION, MM3, CONTEST, ILMB, and BEEP BEEP.

"JACKBOYS" is a catchy and good collection of songs, though the potential of the group's song output hasn't been realized. Slightly more engaging production and high-effort performances could go a long way.
