Dude is as sweet as sugar and calling himself a villain
"Wasteland" is amazing for a modern RnB album. Brent made a lot out of a simple sound. It's a huge step-up in quality from his debut. It's not just that Faiyaz's performances are better, but even the concepts and production choices are great. The features are great, and the vibes are off the charts. There are many delectably chill tracks on here. You can really tell that he put in a ton of effort on this album. ... read more
This is... just a little boring. It's good background music, containing a tasteful and chill vibe, but I think the general quality is quite par. It's very single-toned. His vocals also annoy me from time to time. The mixing between production, vocal backdrop, and actual vocals doesn't feel right either. Although I don't love the project, I appreciate Brent for his artistic merit. I really like the middle segment of the album, featuring songs like First World Problemz and ... read more
"The Romantic" is easily Bruno's most blandest project to date. It has smooth vocals and production, sure. He's released music much more soulful and beautiful than this. The ceiling is relatively high. Its Latin touches are pretty cool though. I like Cha Cha Cha, Why You Wanna Fight?, and Dance With Me.

I need these two to drop more music together. Levitational music for real.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, two generational creative talents, form a music duo under the name of Silk Sonic-- and they drop some of the smoothest and well-made radio pop created in the last handful of years. These two form a truly perfect duo. Wonderful vocals, too, with Paak doing a lot of the fun rapping and Bruno doing the awe-inspiring singing. The soul and funk touches to the project are just beautiful. It also ... read more
From making smooth and romantic lover-boy music to dance-worthy and sex-oriented fuck-boy music
"24K Magic" is easily Bruno's most consistent and greatest project at this point in his career. In my eyes, this album is not quite as iconic as his earlier music, but I cannot deny that I've enjoyed this the most. Even the tracks I liked the least satisfies me. 24K Magic and Finesse are amazing, That's What I Like and Versace on the Floor are great, and Calling All My ... read more
Bruno Mars expands his sound palette on "Unorthodox Jukebox," but it has shortcomings. The production is perfectly fine on certain tracks, especially on the major hits on here, though the majority could've been more interesting in that aspect. Consequently, most songs are pretty boring. And to be honest, I found Doo-Wops to be much more lively and soulful. When I Was Your Man is still one of Bruno's greatest songs. Treasure and Locked Out of Heaven are great too.

A nice collection of feel-good and generally simple pop tracks that everyone and their mothers know. Talking to the Moon and Grenade are favorites on here. Also, The Lazy Song pisses me off but it's fine

Introspective Baby Keem is so crazy to me.
Bangers. For five years of anticipation, though, this could've used so much more oomph than just a few great tracks, and the rest are just alright or iffy. And for the first time in my life, I believe that Kendrick did more bad than good on this project, who literally just existed on House Money and had an unfortunately poor feature on Good Flirts-- which is pretty upsetting because Momo Boyd and Keem both do great on here. There's a few ... read more
He's 50 Cent
Pretty boring. I'm a firm believer this would not be green if this weren't by Keem.
The production outmatches Keem so easily. The lyricism is undeniably poor, and sometimes it's acceptable if the music sounds god enough, but it doesn't. In addition, I don't think his high-pitched voice and rapping style fit with darker beats. There's good stuff here and there, but not a good album overall. Luckily, very soon from this point is when Keem's ... read more
Pussy taste like tangerine
Fire album. Songs are constructed really, really well, pairing great production choices and great rapping on most songs on here (though this isn't the case for some). Kind of crazy how excellent Keem's performances are compared to that on his previous tapes. range brothers, trademark usa, 16, and family ties are all great playlist adds.

"If hip-hop was back JID would chart platinum": truest statement ever bro
Most top-tier Cole rap performances we've seen in a while. Really good shit, production and rapping alike.

Expectedly, "The Fall-Off" is great. Overall, it has a good pen game, production, rapping, and all that. A decent amount of tracks just fail to rope you in for the full 5 minutes they each have. Plus, the album's also almost two hours long... He also has to stop singing low-key-- I appreciate him trying, though.
The highlights of this project are found in the beginning of DISC29 (Two Six, SAFTEY, Run A Train), the beginning of DISC39 (The Fall-Off, The Villest, Old Dog), and ... read more
"He still doin' shows, but fell off like The Simpsons"
There's a fault somewhere in nearly every single track, though some still has merit. I love most of the production. Cole definitely could have done much better with rapping and lyrics, but he did just fine. Fever is overhated. I like Pricey (deserves green), Trae the Truth in Ibiza (easily the most polished song), Stickz n Stonez, and Huntin' Wabbitz. 7 Minute Drill sucks a good amount. Overall, "MDL" ... read more
I don't understand the hate or how this is corny. This is highkey good...
Truth be told, "KOD" isn’t all that interesting or new, but the listening experience is relatively great. I appreciate Cole's message, condemning everything wrong with drugs on a deeper level. BRACKETS is super underrated. ATM and Kevin's Heart are two of my other favorites. The majority of tracks are great as well. Truly a great addition to Cole's catalogue.

Jermaine Cole once again enlightens all of us
Although rather simple in terms of sound and delivery, the emotional value of "4 Your Eyez Only" is great. It's like a hard-hitting sedative; stress-reducing, calming, hypnotic. Funnily enough, I've only been wanting to listen to Cole as of late, so it's kind of like I have the withdrawal symptoms of being unable to listen to this musical drug. Not much music can really evoke emotions in me the way Cole's music ... read more
An autobiographical magnum opus.
I'd describe J. Cole's "2014 Forest Hills Drive" to have checked the boxes for a picture-perfect hip-hop album, though it doesn't go above and beyond. Many of the production choices and sampling chops are so ear-catching. J. Cole's rapping, cadence, and voice fit seamlessly into these beats. This project also serves as a sort of autobiography, detailing various aspects of his life, such as the issues of his adolescence, hood ... read more

SOMETIMES I BRAG LIKE HOV.
"Born Sinner" is J. Cole's best project at this point in time. He was on his game with this one. The rapping and production are amazing. Amazing radio and lesser-known bangers alike. The songs are exceedingly easy to listen to and melodic. The soundscapes he created on this album are underrated, and I'd even call them beautiful. I also gotta appreciate Cole's lyrical effort on this.

"The Sideline Story" is a pretty chill debut, but it's definitely fair to have hoped for a bit more. The lyrical content, production, bars, rapping-- it's all just pretty decent. Hot take, Mr. Nice Watch is fire. Can't Get Enough and Work Out are two of my other favorite songs.
