good kid , m.A.A.d city is , my favorite album ever made , and is also one of the best hip-hop / rap albums ever made in history . this project is such a step up from section.80 , kendrick’s debut album . despite that album being amazing in itself , this is miles ahead of it .

let the sun talk is one of the greatest abstract hip-hop / rap albums i’ve ever listened to . it’s gotten me through so much and is such a powerful album with lyrics i can relate to . much like “some rap songs” by earl sweatshirt , this album is more melodic sounding and with lyricism that are just straight poetry , much like earl as well , except MAVI has his own style to it .

this album is perfect , and is in my opinion the best abstract / experiment rap album ever . it captures earls thoughts and topics so well in beautiful lyricism over grainy and glitchy sampled beats that sound amazing

with “shattered dreams” as the intro , the first few songs of the album make this sound like a car with a broken engine , until after “cold summers” where the engine finally starts and the car is in drive
