Mk.gee - Two Star & The Dream Police
84

Really good album — I’m so in love with it. The instrumentation, mixing, and everything else are just perfect. He adds unique sample sounds that enhance each track, making the structure unpredictable. You never know what kind of drum or melody will come next, whether in the next song or even the next second, and that keeps me excited the whole time.

Mk.gee - Pronounced McGee
76

Another great EP from Mk.gee — I love it. The lyrics might not be the main focus here, but his instrumentals are absolutely fire. Thanks, Mk.gee.

JID - God Does Like Ugly
84

For me, this has to be the best rap album of 2025. JID’s lyrics are always fire, and his music complements them perfectly. The mixing is another strong point—if you pay attention, his mastering sounds unique compared to others in the rap industry, for example, the kick on Wholeheartedly. Finally, the structure is so strong that I never get bored while listening to it.

Metro Boomin - Metro Boomin Presents: A Futuristic Summa
61

Even though most people say it sucks—and I might agree with them—I think they overlook the mixing and Metro’s production. The music is pretty boring, just like everyone says, but it’s not completely terrible. The real problem is that every song sounds the same.

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak
80

This album may not be my most favorite, but I can confirm it had a huge influence on the music industry, especially through Kanye’s use of autotune. I love how he made the instrumentals sound so raw — it feels like he used simple ingredients but still created a fire hit with a strong heartbreak theme.

Young Thug - UY SCUTI
30

I kinda like how Thug conveys his story and emotions about his situation after jail through his lyrics—it’s really good. The beat isn’t bad either. I also noticed there are a lot of producers on this project, which is an advantage because it keeps the album fresh and not boring, always bringing in new patterns of melody and rhythm. But I think the featured artists don’t add much impact; even if Thug had performed those parts himself, it would still give almost the same ... read more

Justin Bieber - SWAG
60

Boring. That’s all.

Frank Ocean - Blonde
86

For me, it’s still a good album, but less enjoyable compared to Orange. It has plenty of iconic songs, but the overall vibe is slow, which makes the album feel like it doesn’t have much variety.

21 Savage & Metro Boomin - SAVAGE MODE II
78

This album uses samples really well, thanks to Metro, and Savage’s flow is sick. It’s an album you can easily run through without ever feeling bored. Great mixing, solid beats, and a strong flow overall.

Drake - Thank Me Later
65

He made the instrumentals on this project better, and I enjoyed it more than the last one. The lyrics, though, are still pretty average.

Drake - So Far Gone
59

His debut, to be honest, is really boring. I don’t like it when Drake sings—his voice combined with the sleepy beats just makes me feel drowsy, and the lyrics are nothing special. Overall, I don’t think it’s a good project, and I don’t see myself coming back to listen again.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
67

For me, this album just isn’t good at all. Mustard’s beats sound like hyper-beats, with high notes layered over heavy kicks, and I don’t like it—it even feels a bit cringe. On top of that, they leaned more into R&B vibes, which makes Kendrick’s flow no longer stand out as a highlight. Overall, both the beats and lyrics feel pretty mid.

twenty one pilots - Breach
75

I haven’t listened to Twenty One Pilots in a long time, but this album is actually really good. I don’t feel like skipping any songs. The mixing is solid and the instrumentals are great, but the lyrics feel pretty normal compared to the music.

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
70

Most people love it but for me i find it kinda boring compared to to other. I think the beat is normal one the lyrics is great but the overall for me it not my favorite.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
84

A crazy debut album for Kanye. The production, beats, and lyrics are all outstanding. The direction is strong too—he really nails the teenage vibe and controls the energy perfectly.

Various Artists - Black Panther: The Album
74

Not bad at all. The beats are good, the lyrics are solid, and overall it’s a good listen—but nothing really stands out.

Playboi Carti - MUSIC
58

This is another controversial album—half say it’s good, half say it’s bad. For me, it’s kind of disappointing, maybe because the late release built too much hype. The beats aren’t bad, but they’re not great either. I preferred Carti’s flow in the past, and too many songs here don’t improve the album—they just make it more boring.

Metro Boomin - HEROES & VILLAINS
81

For me, this is an iconic hip-hop album of this generation. I’d even say it’s the perfect first album for someone who doesn’t usually listen to rap. It’s easy to enjoy, with great beats from Metro and rappers who match the flow perfectly. The overall structure is strong, which keeps the album from ever feeling boring.

¥$ - VULTURES 2
62

I have to admit, I wasn’t a day-one listener—I checked this out after the update. Overall, it’s pretty bad, but not boring. Most of the songs have great ideas, and I can imagine how good it could’ve been if they had taken their time. But they rushed the release, and that’s what ruined it.

68

I know what to expect when reviewing this album, but honestly, it’s overhated. The instrumentals are still the strongest part. I’ll admit the lyrics are the weakest aspect—some even feel like memes. A few tracks clash with the overall vibe, like ‘Do It,’ which doesn’t really belong here. Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign may not be the perfect duo, but some of their flows together are great and memorable.
