Travis’s best album? Maybe. I really love this project. Honestly, I usually don’t like trap beats because I find them a bit boring, but Travis makes them feel different. His production never sounds like anyone else’s—his melodic vocal lines and the way he often adds guitar make his trap sound unique. Tracks like Skeletons and Coffee Bean use the perfect instrumentals and help build a really well-structured album.
It’s a good project from Leon, but I don’t think it really deserves a Grammy nomination. The instrumentation and instrument choices are actually great, but overall it still feels a bit boring.
I love this project. The album is really good—the storytelling is definitely the best part, and the tracks are solid. The way he uses samples with the beats even reminds me of Kanye.
The song is just as funny as its cover. Honestly, I’m disappointed. Even though it’s a short track, it doesn’t compare to his previous work.
This may not be Travis’s best album, but it might be my favorite. It’s fun to listen to and easy to enjoy. The only real issue I noticed is the mixing, but I understand it’s a mixtape. I just hope we get a proper remaster with better mastering soon.
“Igor” by Tyler might be his best album. The arrangement and instrumentation are perfect. In this album, he doesn’t show off his rap skills much, but instead leans into an R&B vibe — and it works beautifully. The featured artists, like Kanye and Carti, are also fire. A must-hear album.
Not bad at all. The song is good — he blends the old and new styles really well. But I think the mix and mastering aren’t solid enough, maybe because the producer tried to include too many instruments, which made some sounds feel unbalanced. Still, most of the tracks sound great, especially The Suburbs.
The lyrics are a bit too straightforward, though. I still prefer the last album — it felt like he put more story and depth into it.
If there isn’t any bias from Ty Dolla fans, I believe this album wouldn’t score higher than 60. For me, it’s way too average — honestly, not good at all. I don’t think any song here will become a hit. The lyrics are weak and repetitive, mostly about the same boring stuff (“my money’s so big, I got a Ferrari, girls in the car,” etc.). The beats are dull too, feels like music made just for clubs or bars.
To be honest, I really like Ty Dolla — ... read more
This album is a huge step for Tyler. I’m not a fan of this type of rap (chill piano and all that), but I have to say the sound of this album is amazing. It’s got a lot of great features from other artists, and they’re all bangers. Fourteen songs, and not a single one feels boring. Great writing, great mixing — that’s all.
This is a really good album by Kanye — everything is perfect. When life gets hard, just listen to Kanye; that advice never fails.
Even though it’s unofficial and unfinished, it’s still better than most albums nowadays.
Another great album — I’d say Cudi + Kanye are the perfect duo. This album is really solid, and the beats are fantastic when two great producers come together.
This album is overhated, to be honest. I still think it’s really good — it’s just a new type of music Kanye hasn’t done before. The lyrics are great, and the production isn’t bad at all.
Another solid Metro album with great production and beats, and Future’s flow always hits. But is it really that good? Even though it was nominated for a Grammy, I’d say it didn’t deserve it — most of the songs are still mid, though a few are good. Overall, it’s fine, but not exceptional.
This album is solid pop-alternative. The instrumentals are its strongest point, and it’s easier to listen, compare to their older album.
If this is the definition of “mid”. I love Travis and Jackboys, but this is just not a good way to make music.
After taking a big break in his life, he found some new inspiration. To be honest, this isn’t a perfect album, but I like his new direction — country suits him well. While listening, you might reflect on life, which is the main theme he’s presenting: how beautiful life can be, despite the hard situations he’s gone through. That said, it could still be better, and some of the songs are a bit boring.
This is my favorite Ye album. Even though I admit MBDTF is the best, this one is unique — both the beats and lyrics explore a new way of making music. I’d even call it groundbreaking.
“Complex” might be the best word to describe this album. I love it — short and sweet. Kanye presents his attitude, thoughts, situations, and experiences through this project. The beats don’t have to be complicated to match the lyrics, but this is exactly the right way to craft beats for an album like this.
If anyone says nothing in this world is perfect, I’d smack them and point to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
