One of the best, if not the best Estonian album ever made. "Nõgesed" which translates to "Nettles" does really have this biting and bitery sound and lyrics. The tracklist is amazing. It's not very long but every song is amazing.
The album feels like a natural continuation from Musas series, it still has that lovely folkloristic soundscape - it's rythmical and the harmonies just make me smile. But on this album the instrumentation is just so very lush - the strings, flutes, trompets. There is even a harp!
I think it's very difficult to achieve music that is beautiful and interesting at the same time, but Natalia LaFourcade has done it once again.
Eastern Flowers takes inspiration from different places. Most obviously - from the East. The music takes one to a psychedelic trip to the Silk Road. The album is a combination of folk, jazz, rock and the result is a fine jam. That might be the albums only weekness - it's just a fine jam.
