"The Life of a Showgirl" is an another painful cut on Taylor's discography. Record so boring, repetitive, plain, with flavourless sounds, inconsistent production and horrible lyrics. Album starts pretty solid with an opening track "The Fate of Ophelia" but as far as it goes it's just turning out pretty nightmarish and cringe. "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" is probably the most iconic and well-known indie/lo-fi album of all time and an example of what can be achieved with a conceptual work—though not in the simple, linear sense but something more lofty.
