Awesome album, love that he creates music with such strong meaning. Incredible and powerful voice as well. Can picture myself listening to this in the car at night with the windows down.
A few skips for sure, but Vicar in a Tutu, cemetery gates, bigmouth strikes again, and there is a light that never goes out are good songs.

can see why this is rated so high because of the impact it made on music at its time, also incredible that Nas was only 16 when he began writing lyrics for this album. Personally, it is not my favourite genre, but I can appreciate various lyrics in this album, such as the story telling which shows that he is talented as hell because when listening, you can picture his lyrics while he is rapping. I can appreciate the album, although it is not my favourite.
This album is a nice listen to, it kinda gives a chill vibe and good music to sleep to. Though I wouldn't consider it my cup of tea.
This album is completely legendary, and yet it somehow makes me feel sad and nostalgic. Even the songs that I dont 100% like, the use of instruments on them is incredible.
