gentle rock and delicate vocals and has this chamber/bedroom quality to its intimacy. but ultimately lacks any catchy vibes or ups and downs, all of it just kinda stays too chill
favorite tracks: san francisco, train on the island, coats
i'm continuing my journey back in time through big thief's discography. it's really interesting to see the evolution in their rock sound from capacity to dnwmibiy. capacity is such a soft and gentle record, lenker's vocals are delicate and airy, as if carried by the wind, while the sound relies heavily on reverb, way more than future albums.
favorite tracks: mary, black diamonds, haley
pop rock bangers, some really catchy tunes in 'brazil', 'kids don't wanna come home', 'make me your queen', and 'why do you feel so down'
favorite tracks: brazil, why do you feel so down, the kids don't wanna come home
glam rock! the first half is awesome, second half a bit shakier
favorite songs: you better believe, be an astronaut
