Process

short, concise, and practically perfect. when I listened to this album the first time id really never listened to something this style before, i knew sampha from his extensive features with people like drake and kanye and heard glowing reviews of this album (lahai wasn’t out yet) and decided id go a little out of my comfort zone on this one and i had never been so convinced on an intro in my life. plastic 100c is one of my favorite songs of all time and im not saying its my favorite intro song of all time but for listening to an album i was pretty unsure if i would enjoy as much everyone else did it hooked me instantly. even though i wouldn’t say this is like typical rnb or even fully rnb, this album really made me realize, coming from someone who listened to mostly rap at the time (though I still probably do), that rnb really might be my favorite genre, and for that this album became extremely important to me.
