Fun mixtape. Would Enhance any room you’d step into

Really loved their style of singing at first. it made for something really memorable and unique. later on the album turned more and more slow, boring and forgettable sadly.

For fans of natalia lafourcades ‘De Todas Las Flores’, who search for the same passion and maturity in albums. I cant review too much about this since i dont speak chinese, but the instrumentals and vocals speak for itself. insanely beautiful and you cant go wrong with this album. even has some eargasm moments, which i didnt expect.

It's a bit too samey throughout the tracklist imo. Everything is build upon what's already working and has been done before. Some songs feel like me improvising with a synth and then getting tired of how basic some melodies or patterns sound like. Confused on how people rate this the 3rd best album of the year so far. she sounds like a pinterest board of the current scene, wanting to match underscores, ninajirachi, etc
it also got a weird immature vibe to it

Seeing that neurosis has a new album out was a big surprise. immediately put this on and it was mind blowing. the end of "Blind" is absolutely insane. this came out around a time where i replayed the game lost in vivo and was pretty immersed in its atmosphere. this album accompanied that atmosphere perfectly. some songs lack a memorable moment tho.

her album poster is all over berlin so i decided to check it out. its actually pretty chill and i love when i see sampha on a track

Idk I feel like a 12 year old could've written those lyrics and they ruined most of the songs for me, the way I had to clench my teeth out of cringe.
Aside from hope this LP also contains some of the most surface level metaphors and references as well, if it's Classical, Romeo and Juliet, Eve eating the forbidden fruit or wolf in sheeps clothes, I could go on.

When I was much younger I always played and watched random indie horror games, this was one of them, and at the time I already loved the soundtrack of the game so so much. Recently I remembered it and I still absolutely love it. the music really elevated the experience of the game. such a weird and nostalgic vibe

if youre feeling down or depressed, just put this Compilation on and all your worries will be gone for almost 70 minutes. This made me want to go on vacation again, and it really reminds me of the time i went to gran canaria when i was much younger, even tho this is a compilation from cape verde. i dont know but it feels like this album has aged badly. i do enjoy it and i think it was original back in the days but this type of music has become very bloated at this point. i feel like the tracks also dont really stick with me that much. i heard this album for 2 weeks now and i couldnt tell you the melody of like half of the songs on here. the tracks that land, really do very well tho. good album anyways.

has some very fun summer vibe songs but also a bunch of generic filler.
repeated “we just some mf kids” a bit too often troughout the album.

First impression after 2 listens. I'd rather go and listen to mgna crrrta. Will go and spin it a few more times and update later

Edit: kinda grew on me but I don't think this is super great, it gets kinda boring at points, there are other artists around currently that do what underscores does but way better

but they are a very personal band to me and evoke feelings in me that no other artists did on the same level (yet).
one year ago they helped me trough a very hard time. It has been over 30 years since the last charity compilation of war child records. The last Compilation even had Radiohead debuting a song that would later end up on “Ok Computer” (Lucky).
