I actually really loved this record, probably my favorite of theirs in many many years
I think for me the thing this album suffers from most is that it’s influenced so many other artists that it feels cliche.. i like it a lot
Finally got around to these guys.. I love this psychedelic math rock it’s so cool
Came here from Instagram, certainly has humor but nothing all that impressive
Revisited - I love this album, I don’t think I understood it the first time tbh
I admittedly had preconceived biases against this album.. man it’s absolutely garbage. Even the nostalgic songs for me, like why were they ever popular. Garbage album, don’t know why I convinced myself I needed to give it a shot
Cringemaxxing
Jokes aside, I did not enjoy my experience listening to this album, it sounds like a corporate asshole in a beanie
Tom Scholz lacks creativity at times, his solo in “A Man I’ll Never Be” is basically just his solo from “More than a Feeling”
I’ve liked the bands other works, but this unfortunately is a miss. It’s not bad, it’s just missing some of the energy seen on their other albums.
It’s like Tears for Fears mixed with Chris Isaak, with a hint of the Buttertones and Elvis
