overall i like the vibes of his previous album a bit more but i think this album has higher highs with shedeeny and narein specifically. it's a bit darker in tone and tul8te reaches across different genres in a way that i can admire even if i don't fully enjoy all of the songs. also another banging album cover #tul8tenevermisses
the cover of the album i think accurately describes the listening experience. it's fun, flirty and fresh, and it covers a lot of moods within the bedroom pop genre. my only gripe is sometimes the mixing (or tul8te's vocals?) can be a bit ear-grating but it's still a 90 for me!
the story behind this album is crazy interesting (watch the documentary) and only made me appreciate the album more. i love basically every aspect of this but personally i've never been that much of a punk fan so there are moments where the songs kind of piss me off... still a 95 though
this album has gotten a lot of 100s today and i'm here to add to that. the vocals, the band, the energy, the lyrics, there's nothing negative i could say about this album. i especially enjoy buckley's delivery and the poetic lyrics throughout the project. though i only rated it today, i've loved this album for a while now and i doubt that will change in the forseeable future. truly peak
