Lateralus

Amazing
no skips on here, if this didnt alter the way you think about music or even life(guys do i sound like a tool fan?) then youre missing out.

1. The Grudge: probably has my favourite lyrics on this album(LET GO), i see this as the most accessible track on the album except maybe parabola. love it.

2/3. Eon Blue Apocalypse/The Patient: a really cool transition to what i believe is one of tool's most personal songs about maynard's paralyzed mother, to be honest i dont really like his high vocals on this track but that doesnt take away much from this beautiful song.

4. Mantra: cat sounds

5. Schism: i dont understand how this is their most popular song but that bassline is pretty cool and the second half of this track is amazing.

6/7. Parabol/Parabola: best transition ever. parabola is what got me into tool and holy shit its good. i love the vocal layering at "holy reality" with the guitar, goes through quite a few phases for a 6 minute song. perfect.

8. Ticks and Leeches: this song wasnt really supposed to exist, thanks to the record label it does. it took me a while to really get this song(always loved the drums though), but i got there and i think its a great addition to the album.

9. Lateralus: probably my favourite song ever, the second half of this song is where tool were at their peak, every instrument just flows into each other. incredibly creative, love this song with all my heart.

10/11. Disposition/Reflection: Like ticks and leeches, these 2 took me a while to get but once again i got there, disposition is a pretty good track to calm yourself down after lateralus, and then we get to reflection. its got a haunting sound that i absolutely love, i find it hard to believe that its 11 minutes long, a perfect resolution.

12. Triad: dont have much to say, pretty good instrumental track.
