This is a longer review than I usually make, but what the hell.
The Thin White Duke may be my favorite character Bowie plays. He's always been a theatrical man, playing all these characters in his records, and I love how he reinvents himself after each album. He's one of the most creative artists I've heard, and there's way too much evidence to back that fact. After finding out more about him, my respect for him has only grown. For example, he ... read more
A pretty stripped down version of Gorillaz, listening to this after all their biggest albums, you can see how they've evolved in their sounds and music all around. This album does have a lot of bangers like Clint Eastwood, 19-2000 etc but has a lot of pretty forgettable stuff as well.
Favorite Track: 19-2000
Underrated: Punk
Demon Days is sonically so much different than Plastic Beach, it was really interesting listening to this album after starting with PB, but even though they're so different they do their parts so well. GRINNING BEGINNINGS
The Mountain was a refreshing experience coming from Albarn and Hewlett, an incredibly honest record, tackling many experiences which are clearly seen through their writing. Favorite Track: Lover, You Should've Come Over
Underrated: Corpus Christi Carol
I find it a bit overrated, but the good parts of this album are amazing. The sheer anger and rage that you can just feel through the music and even when Brian McMahan basically screams, not even sings, is jarring. The sense of fear and anger that this record can portray sonically is praiseworthy.

Underrated: Nosferatu Man
